Food by Design. Portland, Oregon (2015-2020)
Prime Partnership: Catholic Charities
We organized five affordable housing complexes throughout the city of Portland, install a micro-farm in each building, ran a farmer training program and a Food as Medicine program in each building. Once a month the program participants would go to each site and harvest from each site, washing and packaging the produce to then redistribute the groceries to those who ran out of food stamps at the end of each month.
